Chicken Chilly

Hey people! Chicken Chilly is one of the most awesome preparation in Chinese cusine. The first time I learned to prepare this was after watching our chinesewala in Dadar. I tried the same thing at home & it turned out to be great, so I just need to share it with you!

Ingredients

  • 500 gms Boneless Chicken
  • 2 Eggs.
  • 2 Spring Onion.
  • 10 - 12 Vertically Split Green Chilies (You can add more if you like to make it more spicy).
  • One whole Garlic (Finely chopped)
  • 2 inches of Ginger (Finely chopped)
  • Soya Sauce.
  • Chilly Sauce.
  • Corn Flour.
  • Salt, Honey, Pepper to taste.

Procedure

  1. Cut the chicken into medium size cubes.
  2. Add salt, 2 tbsp. soya sauce, pepper, egg & 4 tbsp corn flour (add more if you want to make it thicker).
  3. Mix it well, and marinate the chicken for 1 hr.
  4. Take oil in a pan & deep fry the chicken cube until they turn golden brown.
  5. Now heat 4 tbsp of oil in a pan and add garlic, ginger & chillies. Stir fry for 2 mins. Now add the spring onion & stir fry till for another 2 mins.
  6. Add 2 tbsp of soya sauce, chilly sauce & stir fry the mixture for 30 secs.
  7. Add 1 cup of water, salt, pepper, a bit of honey (very little amount) & mix it well. Bring it to a boil.
  8. Add the fried chicken & again bring it to a boil.
  9. Mix 2 tbsp of corn flour in cold water, & add it to boiling mixture.
  10. Simmer it till you get the desired consistency. (If you want to make gravy, add a bit more water).
